Mac/writing and word count
« on: October 17, 2010, 11:36:02 AM »
Does anyone who owns a Mac know how to get the word count on a document?  I can't find an app or anything for it.  THANK YOU... :blowkisses:

I pulled this off of Yahoo Answers...not sure if it's good info but here you go!

In the inspector go to Document and click the Info tab.  :th_bf-gitarkid:

Babies don't have teeth. So what would happen? They could try to, umm, gum their victims to death. Maybe Judith has new teeth coming in (Nameless)

I'm just using textedit.  I tried what Poopsie said - no word count under info.  Of course, I am very technologically challenged.  :th_smilies-2:

That's easy fixed. Download yourself a copy of NeoOffice... free download and every bit as good as MS Office (personally I think it's better). It has a word count... under 'File'... 'Properties'... then the 'Statistics' tab... It will also tell you the number of characters, paragraphs etc... brilliant program. Why pay for Micros***?  :th_NewPicture15:

There's also OpenOffice which is very similar (and also free)...  :th_bf-gitarkid:
